Let's be honest 10% of actors and actresses are amazing (Meryl Streep, etc). The rest are pretty faces with some talent. Talent that is on par with many who don't achieve success because the powers that be didn't push them forward. Unless it becomes a tightly regulated job market, this will continue to happen on the regular. I'm not excusing it at all. But combine an extremely limited number of jobs with a talent pool that is much larger, and this is what will happen. Nepotism, sexual harassment and assault, etc. Job decisions are at the whim and fancy of a few.[/quote]
