Saudi Arabia and the UAE see the Muslim Brotherhood and other groups as a major source of instability in the region and are fully against Qatar's actions. They are angry at Qatar.

While the U.S. actions right now have destabilized the markets, this is nothing compared to what would happen if the U.S. withdrew completely from GCC countries.

Iran becomes a major regional power.
What the U.S. really controls is:
maritime security
deterrence against disruptions
crisis response capacity
That influence is enormous.

Certainly, right now, we have done damage for nothing. Apart from preventing some oil access to China for a while, which is huge in geopolitical games.

I am not disagreeing that the U.S. actions have caused mayhem, bcs right now our government is incompetent, and you can't fire all your five-star generals and not think things through before you act.

Leaving GCC completely would be insane for the U.S. as a superpower. I, personally, prefer to be a citizen of a superpower, rather than of some small country that has no influence anywhere.

This is what we  believe Thanks to hubris and delusions fed by israel . In reality, there’s no evidence the Middle East will devolve into more war and regional conflict without us.

They weee doing just fine before  US and before Israeli presence. They were  pretty peaceful during ww2 when Europeans fled to the MENA region for asylum.hey don’t need our policing and the US doesn’t care about Qatari sovereignty. They only care about Israeli sovereignty. Iran called out this and made it clear by bombing the bases in all the gulf states and the Us did nothing to defend those nations and instead rerouted supplies from Korea to protect israel. The Us didn’t care about protecting its own soldiers or the gulf states. Israel was and is the only priority [/quote]
