Because they don't want to inconvenience themselves.  They would far rather do things their way even if it means violating a rule and causing others discomfort and upset.  I have no problem with you not sending your child in the men's room.  If he is over the posted age, however, then bring him home wet, change him with a towel around him, get a speedo coat, meant to provide warmth when cold and in a wet suit, etc.  [/quote]

Or, no, because it is ridiculous that places make rules but provide no other accommodations like family changing rooms, and maybe in the summer your idea works but hell no am I taking my kid outside, wet, in winter, even with a special coat. It has nothing to do with inconvenience. It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that if you have an issue with a young child changing with his mom and not being left alone with strange men, YOU ARE A PERVERT.[/quote]
