Goldman Sachs is saying oil price will be over $100 through at least 2027. We're all going to suffer for years because of Trump. The only consolation is that this is going to hit MAGA hard.
That is low estimate.
Saudi Arabia Sees a Spike to $180 Oil if Energy Shock Persists Past April Prices at such a level could trigger a recession or consumer changes that crush demand
https://news.google.com/read/CBMi-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?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen
Doesn't seem unlikely either. That puts the average price of gas over $6.
Honestly, good. Americans do not have a god given right to cheap gas. Now they have to pay as much as everyone else in the world. I am happy all those idiots in their F150s and Doge Rams in red states are going to get bent over the barrel and reamed for years, multiple times per week because they have to fill up their dumb gas guzzlers. The only way Americans ever change their habits is because of price. Maybe this ks finally whay gets us to become more competitive in the EV space.
EVs are just as dumb as gas guzzlers. We just become dependent on China instead of the Middle East. We need to rethink the whole live 30 miles from work and drive there by yourself in a 4,000 pound SUV to click on a keyboard model. EVs don’t make the model any less dumb.
That makes no sense. The Chinese sell EVs and solar. Once you buy either an EV or solar it is yours for the next 20 years. Next day you are not buying natural gas and oil to burn. You are not dependent on buying fuel. This is a big selling point for the Chinese. You can buy a solar farm or a coal fire/natural gas plant. The solar cost less to build and can be built in 1/2 the time. Once it’s built the cost of operating is basically free. The big thing for the developing world is the capital cost is less to for solar vs coal, natural gas, etc. Capital cost in the developing world are huge considerations.
