True story here. My on-again off-again girlfriend and I were together for months. Neither of us had any symptoms. We broke up. I got tested before dating again. Negative results. Then I had sex with other women. A few months later I got back together with ex gf. A week later, she had symptoms (very painful). She got tested. She was positive for gonorrhea. She said she had no sex of any kind with anyone while we were broken up. I believe her. We both assumed assumed I gave it to her. Then I tested negative. So either she was a false positive (with a bad UTI) or I was a false negative (with no symptoms). False results really happen!
You gave it to her. You cleared it first. This happens. Vaginal tissue is a better incubator for bacteria. Why you guys don't wear condoms is baffling. You know STDs run in groups/pairs. That includes HIV.
I'm the prior poster with an ex who thought I gave her ghonorea. I ended up reaching out to the other women I slept with while I was broken up with the woman who tested positive. They told me they also tested negative. So I still think the one positive test was a false positive. I'm not saying OP's husband didn't cheat, but sometimes there are false positives (and negatives).
