You can with test optional. A school merely doesn’t have to count lower scores because those scores were not submitted by prospective students.

Does this really need explaining?

NEU hired a data analytics team to work the rankings. That doesn’t make it a better school.

UVA is test optional. In fact, here are the top 100 colleges that are test optional, including Harvard:

Northeastern is a fine school.  If you did not think so yourself, and were not so disappointed in your kid for not being admitted, and if you were not obsessing over it, you would not keep reviving this tired thread.
