A nation with an aging population is a nation ripe for misinformation and propaganda. In other words, it's easy to lie and trick older people. Their physical and cognitive functions are on a downward trajectory, yet they still vote and control large amounts of money and assets due to the magic of compounding interest over time.

The old folks ought to know better. Yet they still kept voting to pull the ladder up behind themselves. Very few young people are actually in a position to be an "elite" and influence policy outcomes. Gen X, Boomers, and Silent Generation dominate the halls of power and corporate board rooms. [/quote]
