DH, the kids and I slept in, opened stockings with just the 4 of us (stockings are part of ny MIL's traditions but are very much part of mine), and joined MIL and her husband around 10. I kinda sorta am doing intermittent fasting, and we ate dinner late the night before, so I figured I'd be hungry by 1 but I should just wait it out. It was after 3:30 before we sat down to eat, and, yes, I could have found a snack, but I kept being given the impression that we were almost ready to eat. My kids ended up with only two meals today and were so gracious about it. Usually my younger kid is complaining constantly about being hungry. I ended up with one meal and am now starving at 10 pm.[/quote]
