That didn't really bother me.  He didn't want to have sex any more than she did. The only thing he really cares about is his wife, and the "ceremony" was devastating to her.  Also, June did it not out of kindness to him but to his wife and, more importantly, because she needs the Lawrences to keep their sh** together so she can use them to get the children out.[/quote]

There was also the very real threat that they would all be killed if they were shown to not be in compliance. She was trying to keep all of them, including the Marthas (who would be considered complicit), alive. [/quote]
