Immersion has a rich history, strong support in the county, and seems to be in demand for both English and Spanish speakers. There is a sizeable Spanish speaking population in the Rosslyn/Courthouse/Clarendon area who have remained despite gentrification, who share the very same barriers to access, and have specifically asked that their school not be moved. Sorry, no. Key has a problem attracting Spanish speakers. There is no waitlist for them. And applications are 3 or 4 to 1 Anglo. It’s gotta move if it’s to fulfill its purpose.[/quote]
