That dress is a very cute vintage look from the late 50s or early 60s.  The pink bow Easter thing just looks cheap.  It looks a lot like what they used to sell for maternity clothes — like just because you wee oregnabt you had to dress like a baby.[/quote]

I think also she looks really washed out and exhausted. And the contrast between the youthful color and style of the dress, with her very much not fresh appearance, makes the dress look much worse.
