Jackie is really intelligent - but she was barely in her new faith and like mid 20s when she started headlong conferences, starting writing books, being asked what her opinion was on everything. Now her and her ministry with Preston is like their lifestyle and it’s all blurred. There are some similarities I think.

I won’t get into the LGBTQ discussion and derail it more but I think she didn’t even really process her sexuality at all before getting into the limelight and her becoming a spokesperson and token to be used by conferences and other people. There’s a lot of repression and suppression there or whatever you want to call it.

The Christian celebrity culture has the same patterns of the rest of the influencer world. I wonder if social media wasn’t how it was if Brandon and Jen would still be together or not. I honestly think Jen and Brandon go together well and think they haven’t really moved on from each other. [/quote]
