They are no longer friends. If he wrote it, he is being passive aggressive and focusing on her shilling. If he was trying to just form a friendship he might just comment on a post with "Great post Jen!"

I think he’s trying to coach her to explain her process in monetizing her material. Before she got paid by publishers and big speaking organizations. Now she’s got a cook book coming out and a tour to speak to her loyalists. Her book club, me-courses and shilling are her main source of income.

Perhaps he’s concerned she’s alienating some of her following by being in constant sell mode. If that’s the case it’s a kindness, but also kind of codependent. Jen’s a big girl and she’s gonna have to figure out how to finesse her followers. If she pisses too many of them off she’ll see that eventually. She’s obviously destroyed her credibility with a lot of us.

I can’t help but be embarrassed for her when Tyler posts replies. So cringe.

It's definitely a weird thing that you can monetize sharing your life with strangers. I wonder if there are any good books on this topic.

But generally, I find that loving to hate someone is a waste of my precious life. Just don't pay attention to these people . . . that's why they're a thing.

Whenever Tyler goes into his hip, cool and funny mode I feel a little revulsion. Due to his age it’s off putting. That kind of phony posturing is endemic of youthful immaturity. I can see he’s bright and has a good sense of humor, it’s the execution that’s tiring.
Why anyone thinks what these two have is endearing is beyond me. It’s contrived and overblown. I’m worried Jen grasped at this relationship cause she couldn’t stand another minute of seeing Brandon happy with his new partner while she was alone at home with their 5 kids.

Jackie is really intelligent - but she was barely in her new faith and like mid 20s when she started headlong conferences, starting writing books, being asked what her opinion was on everything. Now her and her ministry with Preston is like their lifestyle and it’s all blurred. There are some similarities I think.

I won’t get into the LGBTQ discussion and derail it more but I think she didn’t even really process her sexuality at all before getting into the limelight and her becoming a spokesperson and token to be used by conferences and other people. There’s a lot of repression and suppression there or whatever you want to call it.

The Christian celebrity culture has the same patterns of the rest of the influencer world. I wonder if social media wasn’t how it was if Brandon and Jen would still be together or not. I honestly think Jen and Brandon go together well and think they haven’t really moved on from each other.
