You mean they lied about letting the voters in each state decide. An abortion ban would be about as effective as Prohibition. With birth control, no matter what the religious fanatics want, you would have national strikes.[/quote]
An abortion ban would be effective-ish and it would be 100% effective in making legal and safe abortions impossible to get for all but the wealthiest and best connected.

of course, the 1950's unleashed prosperity because of the domestic and foreign post-war booms. I guess maybe that is why all the authoritarians are acting really badly right now, to cause WW3 so there can be another post war boom.[/quote]
