Well if the ransom notes were never legitimate, the press sure gave them a ton of media attention from the beginning.
I mean shoot, Harvey Levin was practically making a second career out of speaking publicly on receiving them.

I follow this case daily and have not heard definitively that the ransom notes have been officially discredited for good.[/quote]
