Wait wait wait. So JD Vance is out here telling Greenland that Denmark isn’t doing right by them (gosh do you think he suggests that someone else will?) at the same time the president is saying they’ll stop at nothing to take over Greenland. And at the very same time they’re sending the Second Lady over just for funsies to see a sled dog race? Not for like, either of the two aforementioned reasons? I think Trump's comments on Canada are just a bunch of late-night bluster.  But I think the Administration is dead serious about Greenland.  Realistically it would take a weekend for the US to invade and control Greenland - we already have a major base there to receive air transport, and Denmark's military would fold immediately.  The EU would be livid and impose economic and diplomatic sanctions, but honestly they would be powerless to reverse the situation.  My money is on military action in Greenland sometime in the next couple of years.[/quote]

NATO is dead (at least with the US included).  And There’s no way the EU part of NATO would go to war with the US over Greenland.  They’ll knash their teeth but do nothing.  [/quote]
