OP, you raise an excellent question that I have thought about often since becoming a parent many years ago.

First, imagine your worst outcome. For some, that might be an Elon Musk presidency. For others, that might be a Maxine Waters presidency. Whatever your politics, let your mind go there.

Now think about your family thriving in that scenario. What would it take?

For me, it comes down to this:  reducing my kids’ dependence on government to the extent possible.  That means our family has been developing strong relationships with Jesus, homeschooling, spending a lot of time together, and limiting our screen time.  On this last suggestion, they call it television “programming” for a reason.

The family is the basic building block of any civilization worth living in. If your family is strong, then whichever side of the uniparty appears to be in control at any given moment becomes a passing amusement.

If you honestly can’t thrive because one crime family got swapped out for another, then you might benefit from re-evaluating your entire approach to living in America.

There is a better way, one that does not lead to civil war.
