Read it how you wish. The strategic partnership then is different from now, and both releases are not vague. Not a GAstan, but if it creates more competition at the league level (ECNL vs GA), making GA a real alternative for top talent, that is a good thing.

As an ECNL parent, it’s extremely frustrating how lazy ECNL is because it doesn’t have a competitive peer on the girls side, and it can’t seem to find the will to do anything of substance on the boys side to compete with MLSN. If this spurs ECNL to do SOMETHING as a league to meet the moment. Great.

If it ends up GA forges a pathway that meets the moment and draws the best talent, great too! This is a no-lose as a player or parent unless you’re stuck on the branding.[/quote]

What’s been done here? Girls games at GA cup? What should ECNL do? Have boys games at ECNL Girls Florida?

What’s the link between NWSL and GA? Neither press release mentions NWSL.

Yes. This is all fantasy land. NWSL is not involved and can’t be. Not yet.  This idea of ga playing at mls next showcases will never happen. The logistics will be too hard.
