37 yo man here. Never married. Ex military officer and now run a successful DoD contracting business. I’m ready to settle down before I’m too old for raising kids. All I want is a younger woman (in her mid 20s) who is down to build a family. Don’t care for her career or education. The 30+ women I have dated just didn’t click for me.
Sounds like you wasted your 20s and now you're way too picky.
I see the attempted ironic snark. This dude was probably serving his country in his 20's, I don't know if I would call that "wasting his 20's." And also different timeline for men vs. women.
If having a family is important to you, your 20s are the time to set that up. And do you think being career military inhibits settling down and starting a family? If anything, they start earlier -- even officers. Also, what, suddenly we're taking into the account the importance of the work you're doing? That wasn't part of the conversation for women. And sure, to some extent it's a different timeline. But it doesn't sound like it's working for him. So really not that different, apparently.
