Actually that's not clear, but he did have at least two friendships with Jews, one of whom he allowed to leave Germany, and one he didn't.   But isn't this like someone saying they aren't racist because they have black friends?  In any event, it was part of Nazi doctrine to disrupt such friendships precisely because people often make exceptions for their friends.[/quote]
