Now that Biden has announced his intent for a national mask mandate and further restrictions, I thought I'd bump this up. DD cries every day because she can't go to school. We're in the process of moving somewhere she can, but let's face it - things will get worse for her. Time to have this discussion yet?
What discussion? Things are this bad because we didn't have a national strategy and national compliance. As a result this nonsense will go on for another 18 months-2years instead of able to be relatively controlled after the vaccine rolls out. Still, by the time the next Presidential election rolls around we will likely be more like, 'oh remember how much 2020 sucked and how sh*tty that pandemic was?' instead of wondering if we can go home for the holidays. A short term national mask mandate and national travel restrictions, if it actually happened and there was compliance, could shorten that to more like next fall timeline. If you would rather your DD cry for two years instead of one while maintaining your desired level of freedom well that's an interesting choice but its yours.
