These pants are adorable as well: https://www.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/armani-collezioni-stretch-wool-cropped-skinny-pants?ID=2427119&CategoryID=3985#fn=BRAND%3DArmani%20Collezioni;;Burberry;;Free%20People;;HALSTON%20HERITAGE;;Joie;;Laundry%20by%20Shelli%20Segal;;Levi's;;Ralph%20Lauren;;Soft%20Joie;;T%20Tahari;;Ted%20Baker;;Theory%26ppp%3D%26spp%3D28%26sp%3D6%26rid%3D121|BOOST%20SAVED%20SET%26spc%3D782%26rsid%3Dundefined%26pn%3D6|9|28|782
At the low, low sales price of just $387!
No one cuts like Armani
+1, if the fit on those is good, they're worth a splurge. What's the alternative, buying not quite right black pants on discount year in year out. That adds up. And most people grab a few extra things every time they step in a discount store, it's not hard to rack up $400 in junk.
I've never paid more than about $80 for pants. I would actually consider paying $387 for a pair of the perfect pants that I was confident would last me for year BUT I wouldn't do it for pants that are basically cropped. It's too trendy a look, can't be worn year-round, and can only be worn with heels (which I can't do on a regular basis). If I am going to buy a pair of "investment" pants, they better be a real workhorse, and these pants are just not.
Yeah, I said if, I don't own or recommend that particular pair of pants but I wouldn't write off a good pair of pants at that price either. I just think it's foolish to bemoan the state of fashion and then balk at price when so much of what's wrong with fashion is because of the race to the bottom. To the other PP, Of course not everyone can afford those pants and many depend on discounters or goodwill, etc, just to be clothed. But plenty of people who insist on buying discount aren't doing it because they have to and aren't even saving any money. They're pumping the perceived savings into more purchases and disposable items. That person would be wise to at least consider paying significantly more for one great item, doesn't have to be this pair of pants, of course.
