If your child already plays for Valor I can almost guarantee they already know where they plan to place them for next fall. The coaches have had all year to evaluate current players. Tryouts are a formality for existing players and to help coaches compare any new players to the existing players on various team levels. They aren’t going to move a kid up or down who wasn’t already going to be moved based on whether or not they attended all the tryouts. If you are considering somewhere else, you should go to as many of those tryouts as possible. The other coaches do not know your child and may need to see them over multiple sessions to determine where they might fit in. My child does poorly at the first tryout at a new place (nerves maybe?) but then much better at the second. Their offers from other clubs have always come after the second tryout. [/quote]
