I don't get the obsession over the polls. It's not just this election.

Is it like a peer pressure thing? Like, you can't just vote for the candidate you think has the best policies and would help our state/country the most and feel confidant about it. You need to know that other people are also voting for her/him?

DP. But why would some random person want to "listen" to the polls? What would that even mean? I vote for the people who will, in my opinion, do the best job as an elected official. Polls don't change that and I'm not changing who I vote for based on what other people want (nor do I expect them to change who they vote for based on what I believe). Sometimes my candidate wins, sometimes they lose, but I always feel good about my choices.[/quote]

Exactly. I make my own decisions based on information I've gathered and reason.

I don't vote based on how my neighbor votes.

Is that why you voted for Youngkin? Because you saw other people doing that?
