I’m the pp. My daughter attends UVA at full pay. Have you considered outside scholarships? My daughter applied to a variety of local and state merit based scholarships and was awarded nearly 50k. [/quote]

In our experience, independent scholarships were small and not worth the investedtime. DS applied to 10 (this was for UVA but not affiliated). He didn’t nab one of them.Every winner was a URM with a sob story.

Do try the national nursing associations and call UVA nursing and ask. My trainer got her undergrad and now doctorate at UVA nursing and loved it but is in-state.[/quote]
You mean they gave scholarships to students who have overcome obstacles and weren’t born on third? Isn’t that what scholarships are for? [/quote]
