They went to the championship last year. The cxl on the bowl game in support of their players. They have a player up for Heisman award and will likely go first round in the draft. I think they will be just fine for players. [/quote]

Notre Dame plays such a soft schedule. It's not a showcase school like the SEC and Big 10 schools are for athletes that have NFL ambitions. College football is changing. ND shouldn't be where five star recruits go in this era, especially after the petulance and patheticness of Notre Dame in recent weeks. [/quote]

This is true, but it will take awhile to play out.

For example, is Texas a better place for a recruit, with its demanding SEC schedule and willingness to schedule tough out of conference opponents like Ohio State, or ND?

Similar with other dominant SEC and B1G teams. The trend is obvious.  ND can’t continue to play schedules like the ones this year and next year and expect to remain in the college football elite.
