I am not sure it makes other boundary issues moot.  But it's a far more significant event/transaction than anything else they've had on their plate for many years.

The sloppy boundary proposals that Thru Consulting came up with suggests FCPS doesn't have either the internal or the external expertise to manage county-wide boundary changes effectively.  Everyone would be far better served if they concentrate on this big ticket item and leave any other boundary changes (or at least those affecting MS and HS) for another day after the KAA-related boundary adjustments have been agreed upon.  If they need to do something that Thru recommended to justify Thru's fee, they should limit those changes to ES boundary changes.

They are claiming the KAA transaction will save FCPS close to $300M so Thru's $500K fee is a rounding error in the larger scheme of things.
