One more thing.
stop spiraling about a bunch of other stuff that is not at the heart of this matter.
KIDS AND MCPS STAFF CAN DEVELOP CANCER FROM ASBESDOS. THIS IS EXTREME DISREGARD FOR THE LIVES AND SAFETY OF CHILDREN AND MCPS STAFF. I truly hope they are ALL arrested and charged, starting with Jawando, Wolfe, and anyone else who withheld renovation funding or asbestos removal these past 10+ years.
https://www.cpsc.gov/safety-education/safety-guides/home/asbestos-home THE BEST THING TO DO WITH ASBESTOS MATERIAL IN GOOD CONDITION IS TO LEAVE IT ALONE! Disturbing it may create a health hazard where none existed before.
Spoken like a true guilty co-conspirator! Keep it up! I'm hoping you'll argue your way into a cellblock.. Except when it's fryable.. such as, oh I dunno, crumbling insulation or falling ceiling tiles? Any of those issues happening at Wootton? Hmmm?
At this point I'm more concerned about lead paint in your home/school, which you seem to enjoy eating.
At this point I'm more concerned about your Christmas Day microaggression / desire for harm. Wootton was built in 1970 and the last renovation and has never been renovated. This means the asbesdos has been there for 54 years. Fryable abestos fibers can remain airborne for several hours to days. Asbestos does not degrade over time. Asbesdos does not dissolve in water, evaporate into the air, or break down through biological processes. Currently there are no cures for diseases caused by asbesdos. By waiting for victims to surface versus proactively addressing the asbesdos problem, I think there's an argument to be made that someone is failing to take proper care in keeping older schools renovated and keep them free from cancer-causing agents. After all, if you spend millions on electric buses, discretionary programs (ex. kid museum), and renovating schools much younger than Wootton or not removing asbesdos; you could also say that someone failed to provide a safe physical environment for students, which includes protecting them from foreseeable harm, and failed to uphold this duty if a student is injured? What do you think?
