Yes, no one should expect the same number of kids to get from 2010 and 2024 when the applications are increasing at these schools. [/quote]

Another difference between 2010 and 2023 is the demographics of TJ.  Back in 2010, the Asian population was still only at like 50%  So some of the "TJ penalty" at UVA might actually be the Asian penalty at UVA.  It's not like you're kids going to be any less Asian at their base school.
