Another uneducated person. Wedding rings and jewelry in general have a long and rich history. Napoleon gave a sapphire and diamond Toi et Moi in the 18th century. Queen Victoria got an emerald and diamond snake ring in 1840. In Indian culture, gemstones are important in weddings and hold significant symbolism. The first engagement ring was documented in 1477. Some of us have homes, investments, AND can afford to buy beautiful jewelry. [/quote]

This might shock you, but stupidity is an action of humanity.  The fact that people are enamored by shiny rocks like diamonds and pay a lot of money for it is asinine.  It's the same molecule as in charcoal you cook food on, lol.  Such a worthless waste of money. [/quote]
