We don't even wear wedding bands. Definitely didn't want to piss away thousands of dollars on stupid carbon that's the same thing as in charcoal and pencil lead. Really stupid brainwashing. Much better using that money to buy a house or invest.
Americans are so dumb. Blowing tens of thousands in debt to buy a ring and have a big wedding. Nothing like staring out life in massive amounts of debt on top of studentoans all because you both got into the studios wedding industry's propaganda that you need engagement rings and weddings.
Another uneducated person. Wedding rings and jewelry in general have a long and rich history. Napoleon gave a sapphire and diamond Toi et Moi in the 18th century. Queen Victoria got an emerald and diamond snake ring in 1840. In Indian culture, gemstones are important in weddings and hold significant symbolism. The first engagement ring was documented in 1477. Some of us have homes, investments, AND can afford to buy beautiful jewelry.
This might shock you, but stupidity is an action of humanity. The fact that people are enamored by shiny rocks like diamonds and pay a lot of money for it is asinine. It's the same molecule as in charcoal you cook food on, lol. Such a worthless waste of money.

For those of you with big showy diamonds: Many people don’t notice or care. If you’re trying to make some impression, just know that plenty of people never look.
A child noticed.
Many people notice.
I’d love to tell that child that the conversation will go into his college recommendation letter and see the priceless reaction.
what a ridiculous thing to say. that would never happen.

Why are you here? Sounds like you love to hate us. We care not about you or your country enough to bash you on those boards....
Because it is funny laughing at the stupidity of American wedding traditions. Gotta get that young couple tens of thousands in debt before they start their lives for a dumb rock and a party everyone will forget about in 2 weeks.
What are you talking about? Americans do not have big weddings. It is the Indians and middle easterns etc who have big fat weddings.

My friend recently dropped 10k on a round 5 carat stone solitaire ring and honestly I think it looks too big. Love her and happy she likes it but to me it looks like a ring pop. I see lots of people with what look to be 2ct rings. Were people at work judging you for it being too big? This doesn’t seem crazy big to me unless you have tiny fingers.
Someone dropped 10k on a 5 carat stone? What? I guess "stone" is the correct word, because my 1.5 carat diamond was 10k.
Labs. Also why a lot of younger couples w/o a ton of money are getting bigger stones
