Yeah, well it is being abused and most people are aware of that. Kids who are a danger to other kids or themselves should not be in a mainstream class. It is not appropriate for themselves or for the other kids. And it should not require a year long process to move a kid who is causing classrooms to be evacuated on a regular basis.

I am sorry. I want all kids to be educated but there needs to be a better balance found between the extreme needs of kids whose behaviors are a danger to other kids. And the defense of kids whose are consistently leading to classrooms being evacuated is not helping the cause of kids who can be in a mainstream environment with some extra support. I’m not saying there aren’t issues it’s just funny to see people try to rework education while having zero clue what any of this stuff even means. “It should be rewritten to say free and appropriate!!” when it literally already does… [/quote]
