Two questions:

1. What did this "defacing" consist of? The signs were up for 4 months and, despite passing them regularly, I at least didn't see any of this "defacing".

2. Why did it seem like a good idea to call the police on someone "defacing" signs that were themselves (illegally) defacing public property? I don't know many taggers, but doubt it's common practice among them to call the police on taggers who tag over other people's tags. [/quote]

Signs have also been taken out of peopls yards
A neighbor covered up the defacing with paint etc
