Has anyone even read all 5500 pages yet? Why do congressmen and senators agree to vote on stuff that can't possibly be read by anyone in the time allowed? This is crazy.
Most of the sections of the bill are regular appropriations for fiscal year 2021 and have been known and understood for a while except for a few issues recently negotiated. Congress had to hold up the 2021 appropriations vote to add the covid relief package because the Senate can only have one big vote for everything because it has so many Republican assholes who obstruct things that they have to limit it to only one target. The Covid negotiations have been relatively transparent so any Members or Senators who have taken any interest should know what is in the bill.
