Donations are totally a legal way to buy your kid in. Lori was too cheap to pay the multi millions she needed to pay to get her girls in. I honestly don't think her girls should be in trouble. Her parents were crazy and the only way to go against their obsessive USC wishes would be to turn them in and run away from home. Not easy for a kid to do. She was close with them back then. Now she has moved out, but back then it was a lot to expect from a teen.[/quote]

If they can hold young adults who have known nothing but poverty, violence and drug addiction accountable for their crimes, they can absolutely hold Laughlin's young adult children responsible for their crimes.

OJ and her sister will probably be convicted, too, but maybe they'll be smart and accept their plea deals and will not serve much time in jail.

It's a horrible situation for those young women.  What a way to start out your adult life.  Sad.[/quote]

My dd just went through college admissions. The athletic recruiting process is different, and there is no way that those young women didn't know. So if they were 18, they are on the hook - and should be.[/quote]
