Can they just throw their weight around and end the conflict (presumably with 1991 borders) in relatively short order? No, absolutely not. Russia is just too dug in, with too much time to ramp up their defense industry. NATO can't just use air power and an expeditionary force to win. A year ago, they might have been able to. Now they would have to commit far too much to not telegraph the buildup months in advance. [/quote]
