Sorry - those people knew something. They knew their son came home without Gabby, and they knew Gabby was dead. This is not wild speculation - this is logical conclusion.  Anyone who says otherwise is using lawyerspeak. Hiding behind a lawyer is not illegal, but it is morally despicable in this case. They showed no human decency. For the way they treated Gabby's family, they deserve all the condemnation that has come their way.  They shouldn't whine about it, because they treated Gabby's family in the exact same way they have been treated by the public.[/quote]

There is no indication that they got a lawyer before Gabby’s parents knew there was an issue. The first mention of the lawyer was the day she was reported missing. And that was simply the mom handing the police his number. He didn’t make a public statement until several days later. The Laundrie’s already knew him - it seems like a phone a friend situation.
