Give it a rest. They just learned their son is dead. Did you watch the video? The father crying when he got the news? They didn’t know and they weren’t involved and they are grieving. They have been vilified based on zero evidence that they had any knowledge of what happened to Gabby or knowledge or role in Brain’s disappearance. It’s sick what people have been doing to these individuals without anything to substantiate the wild accusations.
While I agree that you have included many valid points, I still think that the parents should have spoken up in the beginning.
When Gabby’s family was calling the Laundries, inquiring where she was or what they actually knew, etc., I just find it cruel that they never responded back.
While hiring a lawyer + deciding against speaking publicly is their fundamental right - morally they should have responded to Gabby’s parents and let them know what they knew.
By doing this, they only made themselves look bad.
Of course it made them look bad, but it was the smart thing to do. It’s 100% what I would have advised my clients to do as well. we don’t know what Brian told them. He may have told them absolutely nothing. Remember, her body wasn’t even found until after Brian left. They may have had zero clue that was something wrong. Brian left only two days after she was announced missing- that could have been a complete shock to the parents who could have led to him feeing a need to flee. He could have played her disappearance off as something he has no idea about. We simply don’t know what they knew or thought.
But they could have had the decency to respond to Gabby’s family when they called looking for her. Stone cold silence is not the way to react.
We don’t know what their relationship was like with the Petito family, or how they were being approached. As long as we’re assuming that the Laundries were stone cold, why not assume that the Petitos were threatening them? We don’t know enough about any of this to pass well informed judgment.

This. Plus, the Laundrie’s could have reasonably believed that their son was being abused by Gabby and he ran away and was trying to cut communication. He had an order from the cops showing him as the victim from the August incident and there is a public police report from a witness describing Gabby as punching Brian. There is also the video recording of a witness saying the same
Gabby was stangled for 4 to 7 minutes. Just stop with this B.S.

Anonymous wrote:Those of you who are defending the Laundrie parents are really interesting. The Laundries made themselves look guilty by immediately getting a lawyer BEFORE Gabby's parents even realized there was a problem. They refused to speak with her parents and even called the police on Gabby's father when he went to their house. No doubt he was not pleasant about wanting to know why they hadn't heard from Gabby. As it turned out, he was 100% correct to be worried sick. They let him continue worrying and refused to speak to him and hid behind a lawyer.
Sorry - those people knew something. They knew their son came home without Gabby, and they knew Gabby was dead. This is not wild speculation - this is logical conclusion. Anyone who says otherwise is using lawyerspeak. Hiding behind a lawyer is not illegal, but it is morally despicable in this case. They showed no human decency. For the way they treated Gabby's family, they deserve all the condemnation that has come their way. They shouldn't whine about it, because they treated Gabby's family in the exact same way they have been treated by the public.

Anonymous wrote:Just read online that Brian Laundrie’s parents had notified law enforcement last night that today they were planning on searching the area where the human remains have been recovered.
It is noted that both of his parents found some items that perhaps belonged to their son.
I find this too coincidental that his folks randomly said they would be looking for him today, then they magically find his belongings.
Don’t you?!
I suspect they may have known his whereabouts and finally let down their guard this morning.
Perhaps they got tired of living a lie….??
Regardless I am looking forward to the press conference in a few minutes.
