TJ does a better job with clubs and activities (more than 160 clubs, activities and teams). TJ also is more diverse with kids from not only East Asian countries but from the middle east, South Asian countries, Europe, Africa, Caribbean countries, South America etc. and non-whites making up the majority. In addition, TJ provides more rigorous overall academic preparation for college and advanced equipment in various tech labs and research opportunities.
