The kids get the most out of practice when they are in a lane with other swimmers of comparable ability because they can pace properly without running each other over. In all seriousness why would you want 10 year old club swimmer Joey in the same lane as 10 year old new summer swimmer Larlo (and I’m using 10 year olds as the example because this is definitely more crazy talk from parents of young swimmers)? The coaches also generally spend less time on the club kids lane because they know those kids are getting their coaching elsewhere. [/quote]
