We are all trying to keep it infrequent for now. Like once a month maybe? Maybe twice a month but not more than that.

There are rules about when you can use sick leave, you actually have to be ill, have a medical appointment, or taking care of an ill family member.  Abuse of your sick leave is grounds for discipline.  I have found sec management is trying to be fair about the changes, and. I for one would not want to see the little things we get taken away.  My spouse works another agency and it is way worse there.[/quote]

Huh? Those rules kick in if someone is out on some kind of extended leave. Do you really think any manager is gonna follow up to ask what was wrong with you? No bc they don’t want to go there for privacy and maturity reasons and pragmatically no one wants to hear about anyone’s period cramps or the mucus they were coughing up. And YMMV but mental health is health so if I need a day to recharge - shrug I’m taking it.
