[/quote] In the book she ends up in a crowd of rich kids at Columbia even though she is not. She picks Hong Kong after failing to get a good job bc her rich good friend lives there. She starts off working for a newspaper and it goes under, then she is sort of drifting as her visa is running out.[/quote]
