I like David way better than Harpreet

Are we supposed to believe she’s the ultimate victim? Victim of an overbearing Tiger Mom, Victim of being Korean American in HK, Victim of her Losing someone’s child cross to bear, Victim of attention from cheating married man?
Does she and her financials make more sense in the book?
None of her decisions were good. Her attitude is terrible and grossly immature for a 25 yo. She gets bailed out by her mom at the end. Was this all to stick it to her Mom?
Everybody was really sticking it to their Mom by the end of the movie. Everyone.
No surprise her new friend ditched her. She is so clueless.
And what was her plan with this baby? Now she’s moving back to the US with a mom she dislikes who will help her raise this baby? She has no plan so one was made for her. Sad.
She’s the epitome of passiveness and aimlessness. So having a welfare baby fits right in.

No one is lobbing personal insults, it's TV characters who were written to say and do these things.
I actually had no issue with Hilary exchanging her glass - that was disgusting. But everything else she's just putting puri inbetween all her issues and indirectly blaming her. Davids horrible behavior is no excuse.
I also dont think Margaret deserves that much grace in her situation. Yes, its horrible, but that doesnt mean you can treat people horribly. I'm glad she was honest with Esse and took ownership of her feelings of jealousy that started down the road of Gus's disappearance.
Margaret was only honest with Essie when she was simultaneously asking for a huge favor. What is perhaps most annoying about both Hilary and Margaret's behavior is they think they are caring employers but actually they are quite selfish and thoughtless.
It was a JOB offer, not a request for a “favor.” Y’all have some weird takes.
True but she only apologized when she wanted something from Essie.
She actually had nothing to apologize for. Being jealous of your nanny’s connection with your kids is not actually a sin, nor is interviewing a new babysitter because you think the nanny may no longer be a good fit. The fact that she actually apologized TO ESSIE about that is going above and beyond. But there are a bunch of weird PPs acting as if she was somehow obligated to do this earlier. No, just no.

And Mercy’s new friend/girlfriend - what is her connection to the older woman and her son? Is she the daughter/sister?
Was this the final episode?
I think Puri was nervous about a conflict. She doesn't want to appear too demanding. Also Hilary seems unstable at the moment.
Mercy's friend is a classmate/friend of the guy who was going to the protests. No she is not his sister-- we see her in her own home with her family at one point. They have a conversation about an exam coming up and studying.
No, there is one episode left.
Oh please. She was just hungover. People are going overboard with the supposedly cruelness here. Puri could have readily have gone on her way to the competition. Geez.
