Dark immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean are not always upper middle class. Some of them are dirt poor and come here with nothing- like my dad, an orphan who came here with $600 in his pocket in the 70s and somehow got a PhD with dark skin and a funny name. I think if you want it the opportunity is there. If you’re a black American the sky is the limit.[/quote]
