His logic is flawed and stupid. Stop using Barkley to prop up your bias.

The police had no business barging into their house  in the first place, boyfriend fired not as some vigilante but as a man protecting himself from intruders. The same people who think that Trayvon Martin got what he deserved abs that George Zimmerman was justified in shooting him to death, are now the same people who say Taylor’s boyfriend shouldn’t have shot back.

The police did not verbally identify themselves and they were not wearing uniforms. There was no way to distinguish them from intruders.  It was tragic on all sides but the reality is that if the boyfriend was white no one on earth would be complaining about his use of arms. And while I have no internet in guns and little patience for NRA crazy, the situation in which the boyfriend used a gun is precisely the one every gun advocate points out they want a gun for - to defend themselves against armed intruders. If you blame the boyfriend I want to also see you ban all gins except for hunting rifles and demand they be stored at specific locations near where  you can hunt. Don’t be stupid. [/quote]
