Grand juror has started speaking since the court's order. Apparently the AG lied when she said the grand jury determined that no charges should be brought against the two officers who shot Breonna Taylor. According the juror, they were never even given the option to indict either of those officers, only the one indicted for wanton endangerment for shooting into the neighboring apartment.

If that doesn't result in criminal charges it means the laws are flawed.
A city can be civilly liable to the tune of $12 million dollars but nobody is criminally liable? I'm clearly not a lawyer but that doesn't make sense to me.
How does it not make sense? Two different standards of proof. One has as a consequence money; the other prison.

The police had no business barging into their house in the first place, boyfriend fired not as some vigilante but as a man protecting himself from intruders. The same people who think that Trayvon Martin got what he deserved abs that George Zimmerman was justified in shooting him to death, are now the same people who say Taylor’s boyfriend shouldn’t have shot back.

The police did not verbally identify themselves and they were not wearing uniforms. There was no way to distinguish them from intruders. It was tragic on all sides but the reality is that if the boyfriend was white no one on earth would be complaining about his use of arms. And while I have no internet in guns and little patience for NRA crazy, the situation in which the boyfriend used a gun is precisely the one every gun advocate points out they want a gun for - to defend themselves against armed intruders. If you blame the boyfriend I want to also see you ban all gins except for hunting rifles and demand they be stored at specific locations near where you can hunt. Don’t be stupid.

What are you talking about? Most of those facts back it up in that article. You realize no media will tell the truth? There is a 41 or 49 page document that was leaked with all the evidence they had against Breonna Taylor and everyone who was in it.
She may have resigned or got fired but she did so because of her rental car being linked to a homicide. Look up Brandon Tatum. He breaks it down and also has the documents. He is ex swat.

Good recap, but the problem is the process and the approach. First, unless there is imminent danger to a person inside a domicile, there should never be a no knock warrant issued. That should be the law (I know it isn’t). Instead wait outside until your purp leaves the domicile and arrest them then. Do it outside in the public. Storming an apartment is not worth the risk to the officers, the occupants, the property, nor the neighbors. When the solution is more costly and dangerous than the crime / criminal, it is not worth the risk.
They do a no knock so people can’t hide drugs or call other accomplices. I do think doing the non knock would mean Breonna Taylor would probably still be alive today. I think they should have never executed this warrant without a swat team.
