Wondering if anyone could weigh in for me. We bought tickets on a Disney cruise for spring break early last week before the coronavirus thing got out of control. STUPID I know! Cruise is April 10 to the Caribbean. I am still within the 2 week window for travel insurance. If I purchase it, it will cost $400, and then I’ll get my money back for cancelling for any reason (minus $900, I believe). So I will be out a total of $1300 between the cost of insurance plus the Co-pay or whatever they call it. So what do I do? Buy the insurance? What are the chances that Disney cancels this? No way in hell am I getting on the ship. One of my kids has asthma and I do not want to screw around.
Honestly, I think it's a pretty low chance that they'll cancel. Worst case scenario is that they might have to cancel a port but the cruise will go on. I am not an expert that is just my own opinion. Take it for what you will.
