There were various points where they could have made a different decision (Wilson site for a new elementary instead of HB Woodlawn, leaving some form of neighborhood preference at Key and Claremont, not promising Reed as a neighborhood school, stripping option status from ATS the same time as ASFS, not emphasizing the sanctity of walkzones, etc), but now they have painted themselves in a corner.
