What on earth is wrong with free community college? In what trumptard crazypants world is having people get an education a BAD thing? Perhaps you just don't like the idea of brown people getting ahead, maybe? Yes, yes, that's probably it.
Nothing is free. Someone has to pay for it. And I’m not interested in paying for college for illegal immigrants. I am brown, so it has nothing to do with race. I don’t care what color the people are. If they are here illegally, I should not be paying for their college. Bad enough we pay for their healthcare.
First of all, no one here believes you "are brown". Brown isn't a country. Brown isn't a place you're from. So stop pretending you're anything but a whitebread UMC'r like everyone else here, because no one is falling for it. Secondly, "free" means "free to them" - not "no cost". Of course it costs money. And frankly, you already pay for lots of other things already, so a few more dollars isn't going to kill you. This is a very wealthy state, and that wealth needs to be spread around to make things more equitable. That's really all this is. No one is saying that college should be free for everyone, ok? Just the Dreamers. They, quite frankly, need and deserve it more than citizens because of what they're trying to overcome. They have to work so much harder in life just to get to where people like you start at from the beginning. You should have to spend a week in the life of these people. Then you would understand what compassion means.
There are people all over the world and US who need things more than I do. I expect my government in my area though to look out first for me and the people in our community and if they help other people it is with the goal to help our community in turn. People naturally expect their tax dollars to help their community. Helping people outside of the citizens in that government area is called charity and is not something people expect to be part of a government budget.
