This past Tuesday, April 3, at our monthly PTA meeting, I shared part of our academic vision for Haycock for the 2018-2019 school year.  The meeting covered topics such as the implementation of best practices and a discussion surrounding departmentalization.

Upon reflection of the feedback that I heard from everyone present, I believe there is a need to pause the process of changing departmentalization for next school year. We plan to get additional input and feedback from all stakeholders--staff, parents, and community members--over the course of the 2018-2019 school year.

Going forward, we pledge to continue to involve the entire staff in the decision-making process and we also pledge to increase communication to the families around future ideas for our wonderful school.

Please know and trust that we are committed to providing a warm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for each member of our school family and we will continue to share and highlight the great practices in place here at Haycock.
